Back from 5 days in Mallorca...great that the Nikon D3x cameras are resistant to dust and mainly "drops of water", lots of them! All went great at the exception of the weather, even our super captain Yelle had never seen so much rain in Mallorca. But we got some great shots to be released next year March 2010. For now, some sneak preview and backstage shots...

Once in a while we are cleaning up the studio, finding back long time disappeared gears, to prepare for a new photo set. Now we are going to shoot some architect office theme. The hunt for original plans, architectural model and all needed props was a success now only rest to build the set.

We will shoot in a month the images for the yearly traditional Christmas exhibition in the local authentic Jindřichův Hradec State Castle, administered by the National Institute of Historical Monument. This year theme is "Time passing by" so very soon we will shoot in our studio around 30 authentic clocks and horologes (some of them more then 200 years old).

Just received from B&H Photo the Sekonic Prodigi Color C-500R which measures and displays colour temperature and compensation values. Just an other tools to be sure that "perfect in" always looks better than an image that needs to be intensively adjusted in post production.

Almost 220 kg of gears, clothes and all needed stuff had to be packed and ready to be shipped to Mallorca. Just trying to select what really to take or to leave behind at the studio was a challenge itself. Next time we will shoot with our Iphones.
